Hí, I'm Óscar Vázquez Glez
Hi! My name is Oscar and I’m an illustrator and graphic designer from Asturias, Spain.
I learned to draw in a self-taught way and soon I started to receive drawing classes at Nacho Suarez’s Art Workshop in Avilés. I studied a higher degree in graphic design at the Escuela Superior de Artes del Principado de Asturias, I graduated in 2019. During my studies I started to get interested also in digital illustration and editorial design.
I started working in graphic design as a freelancer, and I had the opportunity to develop some style as a digital illustrator in different jobs.
I’ve had some experience as an illustrator, for example the cover of the book “La guardiana del Legado Celta”, developing the art for the videogame City of Dolorosa and applying it to packaging projects like “Monte Rosa” and “Monte Blanco”, I also did some poster work for the “Día de la Escucha”, from “Teléfono de la Esperanza”.
Lately I’m looking to focus on the world of illustration for book covers, editorial illustration focusing on both children and adult audiences.
When I’m not drawing, I’m probably writing, reading interesting things or listening to music that’s too old.
